OK, I'm starting this thread so that we can discuss the ending of the endless school term. Lol. I moved things ahead so that the current timeline is now April 1973, meaning that we are currently on "real time." I would really like to end this term by June or July. However, there are issues:
1) That darn Yule Ball. Yeah, that thing's been going on for a year, and it needs to end. I attempted to save time by merging the second challenge with the ball, which was good in theory, except that the challenge still hasn't started and Sam has disappeared. We need her for that... I'm not quiet sure how to proceed until she comes back (if she comes back?).
2) The tournament. We'll need to start that third challenge soon, too. I already know what it is, and I *think* we have that one more clearly plotted than the other two, but we should start talking about that. Again, we need Sam...
3) When we finally do end this term, what next? There are some characters who will need to do things in the summer (particularly, but not limited to, adult characters). We should start planning those. But in order to keep the student characters from stagnating during what is usually the busiest time of the year for the board, I have two proposals:
Any thoughts?

We should start planning those. But in order to keep the student characters from stagnating during what is usually the busiest time of the year for the board, I have two proposals:
- Summer magic camp: One year I ran something called Camp Allohomora for all the student characters. I don't actually think it went as well as I had hoped, honestly, but we do have more people and characters now, so it could work. The forums still exist; they are currently hidden, so it would be easy to bring it back, if you guys are interested.
- Or we could just start the next term immediately after the first one ends, and basically run with two separate timelines--one for the characters whose storylines need the time to progress properly. I know it sounds confusing this way, but it doesn't have to be. For the most part, the student characters exist in a separate world from the adults anyway. So the only issue will be for the students who are, in some way, connected with the adult characters... or student characters who have continuing storylines that may need to progress over the summer time (examples may include Ophelia and Tyler, Savannah and Cameron, or Elliot and Ingrid). So if we do this option, we should plot out such stories ahead of time so that we know where they are going to end up.
Any thoughts?
