Talking [Landon]

[Rori Logan]

Rori just finished speaking with Remus and she headed up to the Common Room. When she walked in, she head her head down again and sat down in a chair. Rori closed her eyes as she leaned back in the chair, thinking, and oblivious to the other person in the room.

[Landon Travis]

Landon had just walked into the common room with a headache from thinking so hard. He didn't know what to do and he was so confused. He saw Rori sitting in a chair. "Rori!" He said, glad that he finally found her. "Hey, you didn't have walk off like that down by the lake. I didn't mean to make you leave..." He said, sitting down on the couch.

[Rori Logan]

Rori opened her eyes as Landon sat on the couch. "Well, I figured that you would want to know, and I would end up finding out for you, so I decided to save me the trouble for later and find out then," Rori said simply. "I did find Remus and I talked to him. Chloe is fine, no wounds nothing like that. One of her friends was injuried, but the nurse is taking care of her. And that's basically it," Rori added in a monotone voice. Rori never really looked over at Landon while she was talking, or after she was finished. And as she finished, she closed her eyes again.

[Landon Travis]

Landon looked at her strangely. "Well, I thought you might like to know that I'm going to move on from that. No more of this 'Chloe, this' 'Chloe, that' stuff. And I don't need you to ask Remus anything from now on, or anyone for that matter." He added. "So, can you tell me what's really wrong? Or was that really all you're upset about?" He asked her.

[Rori Logan]

Rori shook her head. "Nothing Landon. Nothing anymore. If would have asked me earlier today, there would have been a problem, but not anymore," said Rori. "And I guess I should say good for you."

[Landon Travis]

Landon had no idea what was up. Rori was acting very strangely, and he couldn't figure out what he had done. "Rori? C'mon...what's up? Look, I'm sorry about the whole thing with Chloe. I really didn't mean to ignore you like that..." He apologized.

[Rori Logan]

"No, it's okay Landon, you don't have to apologize. It's not your fault, okay? It's me, honestly. Although, I can't really tell you. No, it's nothing horrid or anything of that sort," said Rori. She sighed. "Well, actually I can tell you. I'm only going to say it once." Rori swallowed. "I liked you Landon," she whispered quietly.

[Landon Travis]

Landon raised his eyebrows and continued looking at her, clearly shocked by the confession. He had never really even considered the thought. Rori had actually liked him? He didn't know what to say. "I...I..." He stopped. He didn't even really know how he felt about her in the first place. Obviously, they were good friends, but did he feel that deeply about her? He wasn't sure. "I don't know what to say." He said, simply.

[Rori Logan]

"You don't have to say anything. It was a crush, but now it's nothing," said Rori. "So, that's the end of that discussion," she said not wanting to talk about it anymore. "Anyway, I'm excited about the end of term coming up, although I sort of dread the exams. What about you?"

[Landon Travis]

Landon, still quite shocked from what she had just told him, almost felt disappointed by her stating that it was over. Maybe he did like her more than he had thought? He wasn't sure at this point. He came back down from his thoughts and answered her question, "Yeah, they don't sound too fun." He said, "But I can't wait until the end of the year. All this schoolwork has gotten me all stressed out."

[Rori Logan]

"Stress isn't that much fun. Maybe one day you should walk down to the lake and feed Herbert. That's how I relax sometimes, and it does help relief the stress from school," said Rori. "And then, sometimes I talk to him, yeah, I know, strange, but it helps. Then sometimes I'll just go talk to Voltaire."

[Landon Travis]

Landon still chuckled at the name she had given the giant squid, "Herbert..." He shrugged, "Maybe I'll try that some time." He thought for a moment. He couldn't help but continue to think about what she had said earlier.

[Rori Logan]

"You should, cause Herbert's a great listener. He'll float around near you whenever you're talking to him, well he does that to me, I dunno if he does that to anybody else," Rori said with a shrug. "Speaking of the exams and such, what to be my study partner since we have the same classes and such?"

[Landon Travis]

Landon shrugged, "Yeah, sure. That'd be cool." He said, smiling. "So, how well did you do on them last year? I mean...are they real hard or anything? I feel kinda nervous about the whole thing..." He admitted. He had never really taken serious exams before...

[Rori Logan]

"Well, I dunno, considering I just moved here just before term started," said Rori with a shrug. "Isabella says that her exam isn't going to be that hard, which I don't think any of them will be, it's just we have to remember everything we've done the whole year."

[Landon Travis]

"Oh, right." Landon said, remembering her telling him she had only arrived before her 2nd term would begin. "Well, hopefully they won't be too bad. The stress will still probably drive me nuts, but...oh well. At least they'll be over with soon." He sighed. He thought for a moment during the silence. He remembered what he had wanted to ask her before she had ran off earlier by the lake. He had been thinking about it ever since Chloe had warned him about going to Diagon Alley the other night. "Hey, Rori?" He asked, displaying more worry in his tone than he had intended, "Do you think we're going to...have a full-out war with all the death eaters and stuff?" He finished with a half-curious, half-concerned expression.

[Rori Logan]

Rori shrugged. "I honestly don't know Landon," said Rori. "I mean there's always going to be the continous fight of good verses evil, but I dunno if we're going to have a full-out war. Yet, anyway. To be honest with you, that is a scary thought. Fighting with those horrible people. That's something I don't really want to do, but if that's what it comes too, I guess I have too. And everybody else. Plus too, the Deatheaters and such will probably try and get to us, but we have Dumbledore, and all the teachers, so I wouldn't really worry to much. I plan on doing a little extra studying over the summer though."

[Landon Travis]

"I guess we'll just have to wait and see then." Landon replied, "Maybe we'll get lucky and the Order will finish the Death Eaters off before anything major happens." He shrugged again, thinking positively. "Not to bring up Chloe intentionally or anything, but maybe we could see if she could give us some kind of defense lessons over the summer, just to be prepared?" He suggested. "I don't know. I just can't wait for summer. Do you think Isabella and Voltaire are gonna allow me to stay over some at your place? I mean...with the new baby and all..." He trailed off. He knew he was rambling, but he had so much to talk about that his short crush on Chloe and distracted him from.

[Rori Logan]

"It's okay. I'm sorry I got a little angry about Chloe. It was really stupid, but anyway, she probably could," said Rori. "I'm sure that they wouldn't mind, because they'll probably be busy with the baby. So it's no problem."

[Landon Travis]

"Okay, cool, 'cuz I can't wait. It should be great." Landon replied, grinning. "But have you heard of the summer program the school is running? It sounds like it might be interesting to check out..." He asked her, shrugging.
