Hallie's transformation at the Yule Ball had changed her in many ways. People who had never noticed her before now knew her name. She had found that she was not exactly keen on going back to the way she was before. She wanted to erase all memories of the mousy, awkward, clumsy girl with the bad hair and skin.
She now spent hours getting ready for her day, using special cleansers and makeup and styling products. She wore the contacts all the time now, and she hardly ever tripped anymore. She had become a whole different person.
It was 6 am, and she was in the middle of her beauty routine in the bathrooms off to the side of the common room. She went to put on her contacts, but one of them slipped off of her finger and onto the floor. "Crap!" she said aloud and dropped to her knees to look for it.

There had been a change in Hallie and Regina couldn't have been happier for her friend. Personality wise, Hallie hadn't changed too much. She seemed to have a lot more confidence than before. Since Hallie gain of confidence, she hadn't been as clumsy as before. It was a good improvement.
Regina couldn't sleep and so the time when Hallie first went into the bathrooms off to the side of the common room, Regina had come down and started to read. After a few pages of reading, she knew that she should probably wash her face and get clothes on so she could go eat breakfast. Walking into the bathroom, Regina saw her friend on her knees looking for something on the floor.
She walked over to Hallie and dropped down to her knees, looking on the floor for which Regina could only assume was a contact lens. "Hey Hallie," she said greeting her friend. She found a contact lens. "Is this what you're looking for?"

Hallie was starting to panic when Regina first came in the room. Maybe she hadn’t really changed that much. Maybe she was the same old train wreck that she had always been; maybe this was how she was meant to be. Losing a contact lens, after all, was a pretty clumsy thing to do, and she didn’t even remember to put her glasses on so that she could see what she was looking for.
So it was a relief when Regina found it.
“Oh, yes. Thanks so much, Reg, you’re a real life saver. I was afraid I’d lost it for good…” She sighed and straightened up, taking the lens from Regina.
After she had put it in, she smiled at her friend. “So, good morning,” she said.
