I've noticed that some other RPGs have coordinating Twitter pages, or Facebook, or Myspace. These are in the board's name, and are used to keep the members in contact with each other, as well as promote the board and board events. So I'm wondering whether you guys think it is worthwhile to have one as well. I'll admit, I'm not really into the Social Networking thing so much... I like messageboards. But if you guys think it would be worthwhile, I can sign us up for something. What are your thoughts?

well, it would be another way to keep in touch, which is good
but on the other hand, we're mostly on here every day anyway

It would be especially useful if the board is down for a while, or if the c-box isn't working...

It seems like a bit of overkill, personally. I mean, pretty much everyone is on daily or so.

Well, honestly, I thought of it mostly as a backup, in case something happened to the board. I also thought it might be a way to advertise the board (not that I bother to advertise very much... People seem to find us whether I advertise or not). I only asked the rest of you because I have never used any social networking sites, except for LiveJournal (and barely that) and thought you might have some idea as to whether these things would be any benefit to us. (I agree, Twitter is kind of annoying. I don't understand it at all.) But if you guys don't think it will be useful, I won't bother.

I second the non-tweeting notion
Facebook if anything, is the most popular, and probably would be best for advertising purposes
but i also agree with bella, its kinda overkill

I third the tweeting thing... my friend set me up one... and I have no idea how to use it and I never will use it.
I don't really mind what we do.

Add me to the list of non-tweeters.
Whatever we decide to do is fine, but like it's been said, we're on almost everyday, or close to it. I don't think we'll really need one.

In my opinion we've run into a lot of...er interesting(read annoying) rpers...lately I think Twitter would just add to that number.
