Open to anyone, and location can be anywhere near the sea, a dock? A beach? **** Christine didn't know where she was going, well she knew that she was going to go wherever it was her feet decided to take her, but as far as a definite location she couldn't have been more clueless. She just had to run.
She felt the past weighing her down, and thought that perhaps if she could run she could escape whatever it was that was chasing her...truth perhaps.
If she could just stay ahead of her mind she wouldn't remember that Roland...her beloved cousin...was gone. She wouldn't remember the attack, or the lives lost, she wouldn't remember this pain deep inside of her that threatened to crush her insides.
She didn't want to remember, it hurt too much, so she ran.
And kept running until the pain in her chest became a physical one and she had to stop. When she looked up she realized she had no clue where she was but she could smell the sea.

The girl just happened to run towards the very place where Spencer felt most at home. Anywhere near the sea meant freedom, and that's where he was. Today, though, he was in gentleman's clothing... a veritable wolf in sheep's clothing.
The girl was upset, that much was easy to see, and he was curious. It was a quiet beach, just the two of them, and she was a lamb to the slaughter. He liked sheep analogies.
"Something bothering you?"

Christine was too out of breath to answer him, but her eyes said it all. Some lamb, lambs were supposed to be frightened or vulnerable, and perhaps she was vulnerable but there was something in her expression that said she wouldn't have minded being abducted right then and there.
She didn't know who the man was, and she didn't care, her sorrow was her own, so with effort she reigned in that lost look.
" I...where am I?" she asked although it was almost right that she returned to the sea, her uncle loved the sea and she inherited that particular trait.

All women fantasized about being ravished, Spencer believed... as long as they approved, he would add with a smirk. So that look in her eyes did not surprise him, the one that said she wouldn't mind if he kidnapped her.
His eyes returned to the ocean as well, and then back to her. "You're at the end of the world, it seems." Emotionally, perhaps she was. Spencer never really gave straight answers. She was at the shore, and she had to know which shore. No one could run for long enough to lose track of something like that.
"Are you truly lost?" he asked her, turning his body towards her, showing her she had his full attention.

More than he knew. She was lost in spirit and that clouded everything else in her mind, she tried to remember where she had run to, but other memories were pressing on her, she realized that if she had to remember where she ran to, she'd have to remember what she was running from and she did not want to do that at all.
"I don't know." she answered him instead, his full attention on her, her full attention on the horizon.
