The last time Edmund swept her up like that was in her own apartment. She had told him to put her down because she knew where that it was going; however, this time she didn't do such a thing. What happened last time was a distant memory and she wasn't going to make a repeat of it.
Her arms were still around his neck and Claire didn't show any signs of putting up a fight as he carried her. She kissed him back just deeply. Claire wasn't going to miss it this time because of everything she went through after the first time.

Edmund carried her ashore, their lips still locked together. As soon as he had set foot on the dry land of the simulated beach, he reluctantly lowered her to the ground but didn't break the kiss. As her feet touched the sand, he brought them down to their knees, and then eased her down onto her back.
Finally, when they were both laying on the wet sand, water lapping around them, he broke the kiss and looked up at her. "Claire..." he breathed, almost pleading.

If Claire had really been thinking, she would have probably just stopped this. Edmund made it hard for her to think clearly and not to mention she had wanted this but she had always been afraid of what would happen after. Now, all of her defenses vanished and she was not denying herself anything. She would figure out what to do afterword but right now her mind was a little too clouded with desires.
Once he broke the kiss and the almost pleading, Claire knew she couldn't stop. Instead of saying anything she left her arms around his neck and leaned in again, pressing her lips to his with a sense of need and want.

It was all the encouragement Edmund needed. He kissed her deeply, and shifted so that he was on top of her. A wave rushed up and splashed around them as their arms and legs tangled together.
It had been a long time coming, and when they finally came together, it was passionate and intense. For a long time afterward, Edmund couldn't speak, he just kissed her lazily and held her close. Though it seemed like too much trouble to think at that point, there was one thought that kept coming back to him over and over again. He could never let her go now. He couldn't go back to his old life, running around with a different girl every night. He only wanted Claire.

She had let everything she had been holding back go. Claire couldn't really speak either, she was only tracing different random patterns on his arm with her fingers. Her energy was slowly coming back to her, but she was quite content just laying there. In the back of her mind, it was telling her that this would probably never be repeated. It was probably a one time thing and then they would end up going their seperate ways. Claire didn't want to. She didn't want it to be a one time thing, but with Edmund, there was no telling. Maybe she should just save herself of the heartache and just leave then; however, she couldn't bring herself to just leave at the moment. She wanted this to last for as long as possible.
If she had known what he was thinking, there would have been no way that she would have ever thought to leave. She was scared of what might happen, but right now she was just going to let herself be happy for a little while longer.

The water was still swirling seeping through the sand all around them. The good thing about a simulated beach was that there was no tide, no seaweed, no slimy creatures swimming about to ruin the moment. Just them and the sand below and the water around. It was the perfect place to just lie back and enjoy the warmth of the moment.
After a while, Edmund pulled back slightly, lying down on the sand and leaning on one elbow. With the other hand, he began to play with the wet strands of hair that were spread out on the sand. "Claire," he said softly. His eyes held a tenderness that they had never held before. "Won't you say something?"

Her eyes closed as he started to play with her hair. She always loved it whenever someone would play with it.
Claire thought about how perfect this was. Just laying there and not having a care in the world for a short time. Part of her was telling her that it was too good to be true. Her finally giving in to Edmund, him still there playing with her hair, his movements seemed be almost lovingly like. This had to be dream, didn't it? If it was, she wasn't ready to wake up just yet.
At his voice, Claire opened her eyes and looked at him as she turned her head in his direction. What was she supposed to say? She cared about him? A smile spread across her face, however. She reached up and touched his cheek, partly just to make sure that he was really there and she wasn't just imagining things. The look in his eyes almost made Claire melt. Not once had she ever seen that look from him. "I'm not even sure what to say to tell you the truth," she said with her smile remaining on her face and her hand gently on his cheek as she turned on her side. "Although, I suppose I should say that that was beyond amazing."

Edmund smiled softly and touched her cheek with the tips of his fingers. "It was pretty incredible," he said.
For him, sex had become so very predictable and ordinary. He thought it could no longer surprise him. But Claire... she made him feel like a young kid again after his first time. He didn't even know it could still be that good.
"I never even got to show you your bedroom," he said with a laugh. "

Claire laughed. "So, you were planning on waiting to seduce me whenever you showed me my bedroom?" She looked at him teasingly. "But I do have to say, I think the beach was fantastic. After all, it was a first, for me anyway." Claire winked at him and her smile remained lightly on her face. "However," she began while running her fingers up his arm, "we still have time for you to show me my bedroom. I don't image that we're going to camp out on a beach all night. And you could always try to seduce me again whenever we get up there." Her light smile turned brighter.

Edmund smiled and pressed a kiss to her lips. This was better than anything he could have imagined. Claire was finally his, after all this time. And he fully planned to romance her and treat her like a queen. He wouldn't let her go this time... He'd fought too hard and waited too long for this. And it all felt so right.
"Yes, I confess, I was planning to seduce you in your bedroom," he said with a wink. "I arranged a bottle of champagne and a dozen roses and some chocolate-covered strawberries, and they're all waiting for us up in your room. But I suppose we could still go up there now..."

Never had Claire been romanticized by anyone. Part of her wondered if Edmund did really intend to make her stay and really care for her, or if it was just a show to get more from her. Right now, she didn't care either way. This was the day she had been waiting for. To be romanticized and cared about, even if it meant that it was just for one day.
Claire gave a light laugh. "I don't suppose we should let anything go to waste." She bit her bottom lip for a moment. She didn't really want to move. "We'll have to get dressed and dry our clothes first, but I'll be ready whenever you are."

Edmund smiled, showing off his dazzling white teeth. "That isn't necessary," he replied, sitting up and pulling her up with him. He nodded over at a little cabana a little further up the beach and off to one corner. "There are clean, dry robes in there. We could just go grab a couple of them and throw them on, and let my staff deal with the wet clothes."
Edmund was always thorough and he thought of everything. There were also bathing suits available, as well as towels, suntan lotion, and a minibar. But as much as he had enjoyed their little romp on the beach, he was looking forward to spending some time in the intimacy of the bedroom he had chosen for her.

Her eyes followed the direction he nodded in. Another smile appeared on her face. "Well, you have thought of everything," she said teasingly. Claire held onto his hand and started to head towards the small cabana.
Whenever they reached it, she grabbed a robe and slipped it on and tied it. She was still simply amazed at everything and she had yet to see the rest of the house. However, she knew that she probably wouldn't get to see the rest of it anytime soon. In a way it was alright, because she would get to finish spending the day with only him in a room and that was good enough. On the other hand, however, she would more than likely be leaving soon. She wasn't sure what was going to await her by morning.
Claire didn't both pinning back her hair as it had already started to curl on its own. She would have to pick through it eventually. Turning to him, she gave him a playful grin before taking a few steps closer.

Edmund pulled on a thick plush robe and tied it about his waist. As he did so, his eyes were fixed on her, watching her, just taking in the sight of her. She was so beautiful it almost hurt to look at her. After she had her robe on, he saw the playful grin on her face. He returned her smile and matched her steps. He felt like he couldn't breathe until she was back in his arms.
His arms went around her and their lips met almost as if they were drawn together by some magnetic force. He kissed her thoroughly, tangling his hands in her hair. "We'd better go upstairs now or we're never going to make it," he breathed against her lips.

If Claire could just step back and watch herself act this way, she knew that she would scold herself. Although, he was right there and she wasn't going to leave yet. She was going to remain there until morning. After all, she had to protect herself against any kind of heart ache.
She was going to make the most of being there, even if that meant going upstairs and not coming down for the rest of the day. When he kissed her, all thoughts she previously had disappeared.
Claire gave a quiet laugh. "You're right," she said biting her bottom lip, his taste lingering on her lips. She took his hand. "Let's go before we get sidetracked again, hm?"

Edmund smiled. In his mind, the idea that she would leave after all of this was not even a consideration. He certainly had no intentions of leaving her, or kicking her out. Or moving on to another girl. Claire was the one that he wanted, had always wanted. No one else ever compared to her, and every other girl would always be found wanting.
He kissed her hand, then turned and led her down the magical beach to a door that was off to the side. "This is a passageway that leads upstairs," he said. "We won't even have to see anyone else, and we'll be up in your room in no time."

"Ah, so you were going to use the stairway in order to appear out of nowhere if I was upstairs," she said teasingly. "Or, you were going to use these stairs to hide from me." Claire laughed. She loved to be able to tease him without him getting offended by anything.
She had no doubt that she would like her room. Although she wanted to think good thoughts, her mind drifted back to what would happen after this. If he really cared about her and wanted her, then he would come after her when she left. Claire knew that she had to test it some way because there was no way that she was going to become like his other girls and be tossed to the side like some unwanted thing.

"Hmmm.... maybe," Edmund said mysteriously. He winked at her as they reached the door. He opened it to reveal a winding staircase, and, holding her hand, led her up the stairs.
There were actually many such passageways in the house. In fact, his father often boasted that there were more secret passageways in the house than in Hogwarts itself. As a young child, Edmund had explored each and every one, and knew his way around the house so well that he could find his way in the dark.
They emerged from the passageway and into a long hallway. "Your rooom is all the way down at the end," he said.
What he didn't say was that his room was next door, and that there was a passageway that led between the two rooms.

When they finally reached upstairs, Claire started to glance at the walls. Her attention was drawn to the end of the hallway. "You put me all the way at the end? So you are trying to hide me," she said with a hint of teasing. Looking up to him, she smiled widely.
Reaching her door, she opened it and for a moment she was in slight awe. He had remembered her favorite color (or someone else just picked the color), which were the color of her bedding. The room was twice as big as her own room. She did love her room, that was for certain. Turning to him, she had a light smile on her face. "You remembered my favorite color?"

He could have made her room be ridiculously ornate and ostentatious in an attempt to impress her. But he'd finally figured out that Claire didn't want all the frills. It was one thing to show her the massive library and the magical beach room, but quite another to give her a bedroom straight out of an 18th century royal castle. This room he'd had decorated in a kind of elegant, sophisticated, yet functional style. Yes, it was her favorite color. Her favorite flowers were in a vase on the dresser. There were books, and a muggle TV and record player. There was a fireplace on the opposite side of the bed. And the big bay windows opened into a large balcony that overlooked the gardens and the rolling hills in the back of the house. A little stream even wound its way around the hills, disappearing into the trees.
"I remember everything about you, Claire," he said.
