[Axel Malfoy]

"Who said Dad'll know I'm talking to Sheena and Liam?" Axel asked. "All he talks about is pure bloodlines and keeping things in the family. Neena and Liam are family, I don't see the issue here..."

[Noah Malfoy]

"Father isn't dumb," Noah was getting a little impatient, but had leaned back and gone back to his calm, cold exterior. "Do you really think he won't see you talking your friends? There's a good reason Jamie and I don't necessarily get to spend time outside of school. Do what you want, but when Mum becomes even more withdrawn and obedient." Noah shrugged, guilting as heavily as possible.

Axel frowned when Noah mentioned their mother. He hated everything about how his father basically kept thier mother from her family. He did the same with Axel until he got to Hogwarts. "I wish he'd just leave," Axel mumbled, mostly to himself.

Noah frowned at the comment, but didn't make any attempt to deny that he felt the same. Instead, he pushed his hai out of his eyes and looked at the table before muttering, "he's our father. We wouldn't be here without him." Noah shook out of it temporarily. "Just don't do anything stupid."

[Axel Malfoy]

"Yea, we wouldn't be here. Now we are, so he can go.." Axel said stubbornly. "Don't worry Noah, I'm not going to do anything stupid." And if I DO do something stupid, I won't get caught.

[Noah Malfoy]

"Stop being ungrateful," Noah said, stretching out even further, remaining distant. "You are only eleven, and although sometimes you may seem smarter then your age, most likely you are as negligent as I was."

[Axel Malfoy]

Axel rolled his eyes. "Are we talking about the same person? It's dad, I can be ungrateful if I want. We, you, Mum, and me, would be a lot better off if he wasn't around." Axel said angrily, nearly rising out of his seat. Then he slouched back down and raised an eyebrow to Noah.

"Negligent to what?"

"We wouldn't be anywhere without Father," Noah replied. "He is the only one with a job. Everytime you lose a book, who pays for it? Mum doesn't have a job." Noah knew it wasn't by choice that his mother didn't have anything to do, and although Noah secretly depsised his father, he knew that the Malfoys wouldn't be where they were today without his help. "Hate him as much as you want, but do not pretend that he doesn't do a lot for you, even if it's out of the base that he must to look as if everything is ohkay. You are negligent to the things around you. Lax in perception and in point of view. Take a look around your life."

Axel knew he was fighting a loosing battle. He was the youngest, it was always a loosing battle. He slouched in his chair and put up his feet, not looking directly at his brother. "Whatever," he said with another huff. Axel didn't really feel like fighting with Noah anymore.

[Noah Malfoy]

Noah leaned up, and shot Axel an annoyed glance, and thought momentarily about the Malfoys as a whole. Of course they were the average family, seemingly perfect with a great amount of flaws. Whereas the father was mentally abusive, and their mother seemed to waste away, it seemed as if their children had followed in their footsteps.

Noah was like his father, as much as he hated to admit it. And although Noah wasn't sure how far his father would go to get his way, they had almost the same mentality. Whereas Axel was so small and fragile. As a child, Noah would push Axel around, and see if he would break. Noah never got over the feeling, either way. He still wanted to see how far it would take to make Axel break, and see what would come out of it.

But he didn't say anything, and sat there, making Axel uncomfortable.

Usually, Axel would be squirming right now, Noah was being too quiet and their convorsation (if you could call it that) left enough tension in the air to choke on. But Axel sat still, staring into the fire for a long time.

"We shouldn't do this you know." Axel said, still looking at the flames.

[Noah Malfoy]

Noah gave Axel a slow glance, as if it wasn't worth the effort to turn his head, "do what?"

Noah didn't have the faintest idea what Axel was aiming for. Noah hadn't done much else at Hogwarts besides harass his brother if he had nothing better to do, and that seemed like what the conversation had gone to. He shook his hair out of his eyes and yawned softly. He was getting a bit tired.

"fight, argue," Axel shrugged. They were brothers, supposedly, brothers are close, there for each other. But in this instance, Axel was usually just the punching bag for Noah.

He saw Noah yawn. "You don't have to stay up to talk to me you know," Axel said.

[Noah Malfoy]

Noah gave Axel a small frown, and shot him a look as if he hadn't been surprised, although he had been. Axel had never told him anything that implied that Noah should stop that made Noah actually want to. Constantly saying the words, 'go away' or some thing equivalent just made Noah continue on with provoction. But this made Noah ponder. "Maybe if you were a bit more like me, I wouldn't feel the need." He responded shortly. "And I know I don't."

Axel looked at his brother and fought the urge to roll his eyes. Maybe I don't want to be like you... he thought to himself, staying quiet and looking into the fire, not having much more to say.
