He wasn't exactly expecting the answer Andrea gave him. His eyes widened slightly, but Regulus regained his look of being cool and calm. "You like me," he repeated in a smooth like voice, although his thoughts were bouncing in his head. He could get used to something like that, girls liking him that is.
A slow smile spread across Regulus' face as he leaned up a little bit to be a little closer to her. "I kinda like you too," he said the words just slipping from his mouth.

Andrea could have screamed at that. Luckily, she didn't, but a hysterical bubble of laughter erupted from her mouth, and she quickly clamped her hands over her mouth in a desperate attempt to silence it.
He liked her? Really? She hadn't dared to hope that it would be true, but he surely wouldn't say it if he didn't mean it.
She pulled her hands away from her mouth, revealing an uncharacteristically wide smile. It transformed her whole face, making her look like a different, and very pretty girl. "Really?" she said. "I can't wait for the dance! Maybe it won't be totally lame after all."

Once a bubble of laughter escaped Andrea, Regulus couldn't help but put on a sly like smile. Even once she covered her mouth, Regulus' smile remained on his face.
He could easily get used to having girls respond like that. Maybe he could practice around Andrea. That wouldn't be so bad. Would it? Besides, he actually did kind of like her.
Andrea's wider smile was pretty, he had to admit. Like he had seen other guys do before, he reached out and put a hand on her cheek. "You should smile just like that more often. It makes you even prettier." Regulus gave her a wink. "And of course the ball won't be lame. We'll have fun, right?"
