(Ooc: Haha oops, that was bad um...should we just skip it?)
"Oh no...that'd hardly be interesting." he said shaking his head, " Hidden meanings and second guessing is what all the fun is about...besides a guy could just tell a girl that she's the most beautiful creature God's ever made ..." as he said it he was staring intently at her as if he was telling her she was beautiful, but then continued nonchalantly, " And be completely put down, yes, at least then he'd know the woman's feelings but it takes courage to tell someone what you think about them, what you feel about them, most lack the nerve."

"It does take courage, but it seems that some decent guys do lose the courage over time, or if they put themselves down. However, there are many guys that never lose that courage. The majority of them are the ones that only speak to a girl to get her to be so gullible and take advantage of her. He makes her think that he possibly cares, and then he sleeps with her and just leaves her alone and ignores her, because he got what he wanted and now he's moving on to take another girl."
Allaire folded her legs under her. "However, not all guys are like that, so girls have to be careful at what happens after the guy tells her what he thinks about her. If he starts to advance to early, the that could possibly be a sign that he only wants one thing, but girls should keep an open mind. Body language is key I think. If he looks too smug, then I don't think I would go for it. However, if he looks relaxed, collected, and honest, then there could be a chance given." Allaire took a breath and paused for a moment. "Then, there are girls who are the same way as guys. I would want someone who was honest, loyal to the relationship, and doesn't mind me hanging around him and his friends from time to time. I know that he would want time to hang with his friends alone."

She was cute, and she laid it all out there like some profound answer to the nit pickings of relationships. He found her a bit naive, but then again who wouldn't be naive in comparison to him? Still she was refreshing.
"I hope you find your prince one day then."

Allaire smiled gently. "Me too. I hope you find your princess some day." She leaned back on the couch. "I just hope my father doesn't throw me up on the shelf before I can find him, but then again, I suppose I wouldn't really have a say in the matter if he did, would I?" She gave a slight shrug. "But I can always try and put up a fight."

He nodded, but he had no intention of finding a princess...ever. Only temporary damsels to warm his bed now and then.
"Something tells me *you* might succeed." he smiled

She just gave another shrug. "I should hope so. My twin is more than happy to settle with whomever father picks. Fee is probably the same way. I'm not sure what exactly she would do. Then there's my brother. Jadon is just sort of Jadon. There's not much you can really say about him other than that. He is his own. Father is not worried too much about having Jadon married off of course. It's a bit unfair if you ask me."

Well guys do tend to have more freedom where the marriage mart is concerned, but some are just as trapped as you young females. They have responsibility to family to produce heirs." he shrugged, "So I've heard anyway." he laughed, he wasn't one of those guys, oh well he had a sizable fortune he could leave to his kid and not a bad place in society but why damn the kid from the start by being his father?

"That is true, but it is always up to the girl to actually take care of the child. The guy usually goes out and does some kind of work. Although, I suppose if you find someone you do care about, then it wouldn't really be that big of a deal. But being stuck in a marriage where the only thing that happens is breeding children instead of there being some kind of love mixed in, would be pretty much pointless and boring. There needs to be some kind of excitement mixed in."

"Take care of the child? Perhaps." he said although it was unlikely, "Most high society women leave that "raising" thing to the nurses and nannies, a husband may work so his wife can have tennis lessons with an instructor she's planning on having an affair with. That is how our tawdry society works." he shook his head.
"Love is between the secret affairs that come after marriage, sad to say it's rare to find a couple truely in love with one another.

"I can see where the women are coming from when they are having an affair, but frankly I don't want to be that kind. To me, I think the most important thing would be keeping the family together and raising the child my own way. I wouldn't want them to grow up without really being around their parents, you know? I would like to be of the rarity, but I guess I dream big, huh?" She gave him a smile.

"You're one of a kind Miss Burke." he said reverting to the formality just this once partially teasing her. She was a gem, and some guy would come along and destroy that sparkle and shine, he was sure of it. He sighed inwardly for the loss that would one day claim such hope. Usually he scoffed and joined Devin or Natasha in laughing at the hopefuls, but at the moment he just found it rather sad.

Allaire looked at him with a teasing, yet playful annoyed look when he called her Miss Burke. "Well, I guess I should say thank you Mr. Lane," she said mocking him. A smile itched its way onto her face. Ashton was probably the most decent guy that she had met, and he was also the first guy that she was able to sit down with and have a long conversation with.

He nodded, although he didn't know quite what else to say to her. He knew it was better to leave them wanting but he didn't want to go yet, which meant he should leave just that much sooner, still he stayed, until silence got to be an itch for him and he turned towards her, "Well I didn't mean to take up so much of your time Allaire...I'll let you get back to what you were doing."

"I wasn't doing anything special, and it was pleasurable company," said Allaire with a nod. "And you finished what I was doing for me, so I suppose that's another thank you in your favor." She smiled again and studied him for a moment. "So, you shouldn't apologize in anyway. I had fun, and this conversation has been refreshing."

Perhaps he should leave her wanting after all, he smiled his most roguish smile, "It was a pleasure." reaching for her hand he turned it to where her palm was face up and placed a delicate and in his mind less than chaste kiss at her pulse point.
"We will do it again sometime." he assured her before laying her wrist gently down and semi bowing his leave.

Allaire was sure that her face did turn pink when he kissed her palm. Her heart rate sped up too. A smile appeared and she nodded her head. "I'll hold you to it," she replied.
Her smile was still on her face, faintly, while she picked up her Romeo and Juliet book, along with her witch's magazine.

He nodded to her before turning around, he didn't look back though he wanted to, but a small smile played on his face, his days were looking more interesting by the moment.
