"I'd try to use a cleaning charm, but I'm positive that would backfire and you're whole uniform would catch fire..." he winced at the thought of another backfiring spell of his and sat down. "But, hey, at least the goop would be gone!" He smiled.
"And yeah, it's Gage, Gage Oliver." Gage introduced himself the way his father taught him how. "Don't worry about blowing me up either, i can take it." He smiled at Hallie, leting out a quiet laugh.

Ruecain turned in his seat and saw a girl in his house was covered in a green goo. he thought of what it might be, and walked over. "What happened to you? You're lucky it's not an active sort, like Botuber pus, then you'd be in real trouble." he said sticking his finger on some of the goop on her hair. It felt cool and a bit slimy. "I think it's Aloe Vera sap." he said rubbing the goo between his fingers.

"You wouldn't by any chance know how to clean it off of her without setting her on fire would you?" Gage asked. He had never heard of Aloe Vera Sap being so sticky. Then he turned to Hallie. "Where do you think Peeves got that stuff anyway?" He asked with a confused look on his face.

"yes I do." Ruecain said pulling out his wand. "It's the siphon charm" he said while cleaning up the green goo from the girls hair. He then put his wand away and said. "are you Okay?" Ruecain asked.
Then he turn and faced the boy. "oh Peeves must have gotten it from the hospital wing." Ruecain said casually. " Anyway my name is Ruecain White" Ruecain said in a friendly tone.

Hallie broke into a smile as she raised her hand to her non-sticky hair. Now it was back to its usual frizzy style. This was a huge relief, because she'd already been having fears of gaining some odious new nickname, like "goo girl" or something. "Wow, thank you!" she said. "Both of you." Extending her hand to Ruecain, she said, "I'm Hallie. It's nice to meet you, Ruecain. That's a pretty cool name."

Ruecain blushed a little but then he said, "Your welcome Hallie. Most people think it's a sad name because of the 'rue' part." He smiled at Hallie, though he's never talked to her before and yet they were in the same house and class. " Your in the same year as me aren't you? I wonder why we haven't met!" he said in a cheerful tone.

Severus shrugged. " I know...You don't have to be sorry, They just are...I'm glad I have you though." he said feeling a lot more comfortable. It didn't feel like he wanted to implode or sink into the floor. Natalie made him feel alright, and happy. He would have to thank her for it later. Natalie looked at him quietly. She could sense his feelings and knew that he was feeling at ease again. This immediately made her feel better, too. It worried her that Severus was so isolated. She still sometimes saw troubling flashes of his future, and she wanted to save him from that. He didn't deserve to be so alone. People just couldn't see what a great person Severus was. "As long as I have something to say about it, I promise, you'll have me," Natalie answered quietly.

Severus had never had anyone before. He almost didn't know what do with the information. His heart hurt painfully, He was scared. The idea of forever was like a dream, but he had learned not to believe in dreams, dreams didn't come true. Not all the magic in the world could make dreams come true it had seemed to him. He was terrified in that moment that he realized that he wanted to be there for her forever too. How could he think that? Why would he think that? He was in no place for that. He struggled to push the feeling inside and away. He couldn't feel this way.

He smiled and as Hallie and Ruecain continued on in convorsation, Gage pulled out a spare piece of paper and began doodleing on it, vaugely pausing to listen to Ruecian and Hallie.

Natalie could sense his discomfort and uncertainty and it strengthened her resolve. He was easily the best friend she'd ever had, and she trusted him completely. He'd had a rough time in the past with his family, but she was sure she could brighten his future. The bleak visions she had seen would not come true... she wouldn't allow it.
"Meet me by the tree later," she said, a rare smile on her face. "I want to talk to you in private."

Severus felt his throat too tight, he swallowed and nodded and said "Yeah, sounds like fun." he smiled a bit tightly. Severus never had thought about God...or a God or anything of the nature, but if anyone could hear his silent thoughts for class to start, he hoped that something or God would hear him soon. 'just let this class start please! I just can't sit hear and do nothing for much longer!' he thought trying in vain to think of something else other than Natalie smiling at him and wanting to spend time with him. He thought darkly that no one thought he was worth the sort of time...Even Slughorn, with his 'astonishing' potions skill, paid him so much mind.

Maxi walked into the Potion's classroom, and nooded at the teacher, and took a seat near the back. She pulled out her book and papers and flipped her blond hair over her shoulder. She was humming a tune that had popped into her head during breakfast that morning. She looked around and saw that everyone was talking with someone else, so she sat back, relaxed, fiddled with her Huffelpuff tie and waited for class to start.

Natalie Speller walked into the Potions classroom, She had not yet been sorted but she though it would be okay to watch. She saw that everyone was talking except a Hufflepuff girl she recognised as Maxi Borale. Natalie walked over to her "Hi. I'm Natalie You're Maxi Borale right?"
Natalie kept turning her head to look at some people talking as they kept saying 'Natalie.' Natalie then worked out that there was another Natalie in the class.

Justine hurried into class. She knew she was running late, but she had taken the long way to class in hopes of avoiding Jason. She also had hoped he would already be there when she got there, but as she looked around, she didn't see him. How was she supposed to keep him from sitting near her if she didn't know where he was sitting?
Finally, she chose a seat close to Severus and the Ravenclaw girl he liked so much. There wasn't a lot of room for Jason to sit nearby, and at least she'd have a friend near her for support.
"Hey, Severus," she greeted him. "Is it OK if I sit here?"

Robin was not in one of her typically good moods as she headed to Potions class. Ever since her day in Hogsmeade with James, she had been thinking about him a lot, and it worried her. Everyone knew (but didn't say) that James had a thing for Lily Evans, although she didn't really like him. But now Robin was afraid she was developing a little crush on James. She wanted to be just friends with him... but there was just something about that cocky grin that wouldn't leave her mind.
As she entered the room, she looked around and spotted James, sitting with his friends. Lily was on the other side of the room. She sighed. Should she go and sit near James, knowing that a part of him wished he was sitting with Lily instead?
She couldn't quite resist. After all, everyone had seen the fight between them in the last class. So she headed over to the area where James and his friends were sitting. "Hi, James!" she said, sounding just as perky as ever.

Leo headed to Potions class with extra enthusiasm. He knew he would see Rori in this class, and he was looking forward to it. These days it seemed like all that mattered was seeing Rori. And when he wasn't with her, he felt a little empty.
Walking into the room, he immediately scanned the class for Rori. It didn't take long to find her, and he smiled at the sight of her. "Hey, Rori," he greeted her, slipping into the seat next to her.

Gia rushed toward potions class, silently wondering why she was bothering to rush. After all, it wasn't like she had anyone there to talk to. In fact, she privately thought that no one would even notice if she wasn't there. Even the professor barely seemed to notice her. Still, she couldn't afford to miss classes, so she rushed down the hall, and finally into the classroom. Not seeing anyone she knew, she chose a seat near the front and waited for class to begin.

Andrea stormed into class, once again feeling annoyed. She hated potions class, and couldn't be bothered to pay attention. She hoped Regulus would be there, so that maybe it wouldn't be quite so miserable. But as she looked around, she saw no sign of him. Sighing melodramatically, she chose a seat in the back with the other Slytherins and waited.

Jason arrived next, and paused in the doorway to look around. He spotted Justine, sitting near Severus and the Ravenclaw. There wasn't any room to sit next to her on the other side, so he chose a seat a few rows back. Here he could watch her from behind. It occured to him that he was behaving like a weird creepy stalker, but he didn't care. He just wanted her back.

Post by Gilderoy Lockhart on Aug 28, 2008 12:33:05 GMT -5
Potions class was not one of Gilderoy's favorite classes. He much preferred Charms, with its nice "swish and flick" movements, or Defense Against the Dark Arts. Potions was a dirty class, with lots of nasty bug parts and eyeballs and such. Still, he knew it was important, so he continued to take it.
He broke into one of his famous smiles as he entered the room. Unfortunately, no one was paying attention to see it. How disappointing! Looking around a moment, he chose a seat near another Hufflepuff girl. He stopped before he reached her, trying for a moment to remember her name. Ah, yes! Maxi. "Hello, Maxi," he greeted her, smiling broadly. "And I don;t think I know your name?" he asked the Gryffindor girl next to her.
