Buying Robes

Adrianna hurried into the shop, almost running into a few first year students, and found Madame Malkin. "I need one set of medium student robes." She said handing her six Galleons. "New" She added with a smile.

"Here you are." She handed Adrianna the robes and taking the galleons.

"Thanks." She said quickly and walked out of the shop in a hurry.

[Kate Moore]

Kate walked into Madam Malkin's in search of a set of new robes. "I need two sets of robes, size small," said Kate meekly. Madam Malkin nodded and pulled out a set of Hufflepuff robes for her. "Thank you," she said enthusiastically. Kate handed over the 12 galleons, in search of what else she needed.

"Just how long do you expect this to take?" Eden asked softly, before placing her lips around her cigarette holder. Her accent rang posh, not a trace of her French heritage. It pleased her to keep her origins private.

"Only a few minutes longer, Miss," the woman replied.

The only way Eden could amend herself to wearing school robes was to have them fitted. At first, the staff had protested at her smoking during the fitting, but once she made it clear she was interested in two or three custom pieces she could suddenly do no wrong. They indulged her cat, Jecka, chasing the enchanted tape measurer with smiles and pleasant words. Meanwhile, Eden was itching to blow off some steam. She was dreading the trip to school, but not a hint of this marred her trained features.

After paying, she left the address for delivery. She straightened her hat and pulled Jecka into her arms before gliding back out onto the street.

[Rayne DiCostas]

Rayne had asked for a new set of robes, and debated on getting a dress set as well.

"Will there be anything else for you?"

She shook her head. "No thank you," she said, handing over six galleons. She could always come back if she needed to.

[Rabastan Lestrange]

Rabastan had been fitted for two sets of school robes and one set of dress robes, all of which he had delivered, just because he could.

20 galleons later, her was leaving the robe shop, winking at a group of girls that passed by.

[Alice Prewett]

Alice hurried into the robe shop and went straight to see Madame Malkin who was standing near some beautiful new dress robes she was setting out. "Madame Malkin, have my new student robes been delivered for this year's term? My mother ordered them from you last week and I....." Alice trailed off as she noticed the dress robes being pulled out in a beautiful red color and quickly added "....and I.. um.. can I add that dress robe to my bill as well? It's quite beautiful."

The clerk was happy to oblidge the request and quickly packed up the new red dress robes and also the black student robes that had already been ordered a week prior. Alice paid 14 galleons to the woman before thanking her and almost skipping out of the shop with her packages beaming... she wondered what Frank Longbottom would think when he saw her in those new robes durring the next school dance. She smile to herself and continued her shopping almost humming aloud.

[Rita Skeeter]

Entering the robe shop she went straight to the rack with new student robes and looked through them until she found her size.. she was in need of a new one as she did every year and then quickly paid for the garmet before heading back out of the shop. She paused briefly after getting distracted by a beautiful green cape but figured she'd already spent 6 galleons on her new school robe and the cape would just have to wait.

[Lyra Newbury]

Lyra hated buying robes off the rack and had always gotten all of her school robes specially made. She had a standing appointment with Madam Malkin twice a year. Once just before the start of term, and once at her birthday where her parents got her new dress robes. This appointment was the prior.

"Good day Madam Malkin. I trust you're doing well." The small talk was purely for Malkin's pleasure, Lyra had no interest in the life of the seamstress. But it was polite, something her parents had impressed upon her. She waited until Madam Malkin directed her to the back room where she would be measured and her robes fitted. The week before Lyra had sent in specifications for her robes for this term, and Madam Malkin had one week to comply. The woman had never failed in exceeded Lyra's expectations.

"Such lovely work, thank you." She paid the woman and waited for her robes to be bagged, then left the shop. She still had plenty of things to purchase today.

Elodie's arms grew heavy with her shopping but she only had one last stop. Sighing with relief when she came up to Madam Malkins she pushed the door open with a little more effort that usual. She found her stood by the counter and smiled at her in greeting.
"Madam Malkin I've come for my Robes, they were ordered last week?"
"Yes of course I remember you coming in for the fitting, Elodie Hunter?"
Elodie nodded and smiled in anticipation knowing she also had some dress robes to collect. Madam Malkin bought them over to her and she couldn't help but smile when she saw the beautiful blue dress robes. "Gorgeous" she muttered under her breath.
"Will that be all?" Madam Malkin said with a smile.
Elodie nodded again and watched as the robes were packaged up. "That will be 14 galleons"
She handed over the money and practically skipped out of the shop.

[Gryffin Edwin]

Gryffin walked in, "Three new students robes please and one dress robe all small."

"That will be 26 galleons please" the store keeper said.

Gryffin handed over the money and took his new robes. "Thanks," he yelled over his back as he walked out of the store.

I swear if she hits me with one more needle i'll shove one of them so far up her....

The thick stream of insults was interrupted by her stepping away from him and observing him from afar. Deciding it was good she gave a curt head nod as she put the little needles back into their holder.

"Good lad, now take that off, and I'll 'ave yer order in just a second."

Pulling the black robes over his head he gave them to her outstretched hands. Taking them she dissappeared into the back once again as she had so often during this trip. In about two seconds she was back out with a fresh set of robes. Three in all, and they were wrapped in some parchment paper. Handing them to him they krinkled a bit as he picked them up. Atleast she had been able to do something right he thought as he went over to the counter where he would pay.

"That would be 18 galleons, sir."

Taking the money out of his pocket he laid them on the table as he quietly exited the store. Not caring enough to respond to her statement.

Bluebell slipped in, looking around and smiled at Madame. "Excuse me, I need two sets of used robes," she explained.

She was measured out really quick and the woman smiled at her. "That will be six galleons dear," she explained and Bluebell handed her the money.

"Thank you," she greeted and walked back out, not ashamed to be getting second hand robes.

Raina hurried into Madame Malkin's, books in arm. She laid the books down on a stool as Madame Malkin herself came to assist her. Raina explained that she needed two sets of school robes, and Madame Malkin got to work immediatly.

When Madame Malkin was finished, Raina paid the 12 galleons for her robes, muttered thanks, scooped up her books and exited the shop.

Eurysighed as she pulled the Pink dress robes against her petite figure. NO, These were to pink, they clashed with her hair. She walked back over throwing to pairs of school robes over her left arm and caught sight of dress robes in dark emerald green with bronze lining. She smiled and almost clapped with joy at the fact they were her size.

"Hello, I'd like to buy these." She said to the shop owner and the owner smiled and said.

"Ok, 20 galleons please." The owner said and I nodded and gave it to her before walking out.

[Chandra Lowell]

Chandra had been walking about the shop for a while even though she was only here for a pair of new robes.
She picked up two school robes and then went to see the clerk.
"Can I get these please?" she asked politely.
"Yes, that'll be 12 Galleons" Chandra handed over the money.
'I've got my school robes, I am so excited to start lessons' Chandra said to herself.

[Barty Crouch Jr.]

Barty walked in relieved that his mother was getting his books and the rest of his supplies. “Excuse me miss I need three sets of plain black work robes for school, small” He asked the woman who had just finished up with another customer. Handing him a nice sized package she said. “That will be 18 galleons,” Barty paid her and took the package and said “thanks,” before walking out the door.

[Jodi Reese]

Coming out of Ollivander's, Jodi dragged her father to Madame Malkin's. As fond as he was of the wizarding world, shopping for clothes was still shopping for clothes.

"Dad. Come on. My robes are too short, they look ridiculous. besides, I need to get dress robes. it shouldn't take too long. I promise." She pleaded with him to stay.

"Alright," he grudgingly responded, "as long as you don't take too long. We have more stuff to pick up." Jodi laughed and promised again to be quick. she found Madame Malkin herself and asked for help fitting robes. She wasn't too picky about her clothes, so she found a pair of hand me down. After all a black robe is a black robe. However she was a little choosier for her dress robes. She picked a gorgeous purple set, and once everything was fitted, went to the front of the store and paid the 10 galleons she owed Madame Malkin.

She found her dad browsing the store and snuck up behind him. She was just getting ready to surprise him when he asked, 'Done?"

"How'd you know? How is it that you always know?" She asked.

"A good magician never reveals his secrets." He winked at her and they linked arms. "you ready to get your books?" She nodded and they departed the store.

[Babette Avian]

Babette walked inside the store, and looked around. She then walked up to the owner, and asked her if they had anything in pink. "No. I'm sorry, but it isn't exactly the colors robes come in." the owner said. "Oh. That's too bad. You see, I want to be a robe designer when I grow up, and maybe I will make some like that. Haha! Well, what colors do you have?" said Babette excitedly. "Well, we have the original school robes, and the dress robes. The dress robes can come in blue, purple, or red." the owner said with a sigh. "Okay! I will take two school robes, and one purple dress robe; both in extra small, please!" said the tiny girl. "Alrighty then. It's 15 Galleons." Babette put the money on the counter, then walked away while fluffing her hair. Then, the owner said "Ahhh. Teenage girls. They never change."

[Angelina Smith]

Angelina walked in the store.
"Dress or school robes? "
"1 dress robe and 3 school robes please."
"Small, Medium or Large."
"Medium, I'll grow into it in no time."
Angelina picked out a dress. it was blue with spaggetii straped and a sash around the middle.
"This one please, used."
The lady handed her hher robes.
She handed her 16 galleons.
