The year is 1973, and the Marauders (James, Sirius, Remus, and Peter) are midway through their second year at Hogwarts. While they are becoming friends and are "up to no good," Lord Voldemort is rising in power in the wizarding world. He already has many followers, and there have already been some Death Eater attacks. Some have died. Dumbledore is aware of the problem and is watching it carefully, as Voldemort grows ever more powerful and evil. Now is the time to start training the students for the rebellion to come...

The Rules « Thread Started on Apr 20, 2006, 12:28pm »
As with any board, this board has a set of rules we need you to follow if you want to be a member. Here they are:
1. Watch your language. This is a PG-13 board, so the language should be PG-13 as well. NO SWEARING!!! If you wouldn't hear it on TV, then don't use it here.
2. No flaming, attacking, or picking on other members. It's just mean. Mean people suck. Rude behavior to other members, whether in the C-box, on the board itself, or in PMs will also have serious consequences.
3. Spammers will be banned on sight. Please do not join the board just to advertise your own board, or to advertise free downloads or whatever. If you're an active member, you can advertise, but people who join just to advertise are not cool. There is a free advertising section as well which is open to guests. Check the advertising forum for further rules about advertising. And take note: I *really* hate PM advertisements!
4. Please try to use proper grammar and spelling. I know not everyone is perfect, but do make an effort. If I see you completely murdering the English language, I'll have to send you a warning. Don't make me do that. There is a Spell Check button at the bottom of all posting forms, so please don't be afraid to use it! Also, please try to avoid the use of netspeak, especially while RPing. In off-topic threads, a little is OK.
Also, while role-playing, we ask that each post be at least 4 sentences long. Absolutely NO one-liners are permitted! Please, take a little time to get into your character's head. What are they doing? What are they thinking? Give your role-playing partner something to work with.
5. If you join, please try to remain active. At least post every few days or so. And if you're going to be away for any length of time, let me know, OK? We can work around you, but it will be easier if we know what's going on.
6. You can be more than one character, as long as you can handle multiple characters. New members must wait one week before making additional characters. Please PM me (Albus Dumbledore) to ask permission to make another character.
7. Please obey the staff. If we ask you do do something, please do it. If we ask you not to do something, please don't do it. And please, don't attack staff members, either!
8. Please keep OOC (out of character) stuff in the OOC boards. However, if it is necessary to say something OOC in the RPG boards, separate it like this: ((OOC: gtg))
9. Do not RP other people's characters. RP only as your own characters. Let them fill in their part.
10. You must read the rules before joining. And when you join, please use the joining form appropriate for your character. The password for the application is For Salazar's Sake.
11. Rules are subject to change or be added to at any time. But I'll probably send you a message when I do.
12. Death Eaters: No student below 7th year may be a death eater. On rare occasions, 6th years may be allowed, but not younger. You must be approved by Lord Voldemort to be a death eater.
PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT PROBOARDS TERMS OF SERVICE ALSO APPLY. THESE STATE THAT YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 13 YEARS OF AGE TO JOIN THIS OR ANY OTHER PROBOARDS SITE. FOR OTHER TERMS OF SERVICE, PLEASE REFER TO http://www.proboards.com/tos.html. Thanks.
